Role of Foreplay

loving couple
Foreplay is the term used to describe how men and women physically and verbally communicate before sex.

Non sexual foreplay refers to physical acts such as holding an arm, touching a shoulder or whispering something.

Typically there is no touching of sexual areas, and non-sexual foreplay is as much about re-affirming the relationship between a man and woman as anything sexual. Sexual foreplay is when sexual parts of the body are touched.

Foreplay is essential for women

For a woman to become fully aroused and for her to be capable of reaching the Orgasmic plateau and having one or more orgasms, it’s pretty essential that the man takes his time over foreplay. Women take a much longer time than men to become aroused, and any man who takes his time to arouse a woman with foreplay will be rewarded (usually) with a wonderful sexual experience.

Non-sexual foreplay and being “in the mood”
For a woman to feel “in the mood” she needs to feel loved, desirable, appreciated, attractive and possibly other emotions as well. These are all feelings rather than the physical aspects of arousal, such as woman become more lubricated in her vagina. A man can easily forget that it’s not just the physical stimulation of a woman that’s important, it’s the mental “foreplay” as well. The more aroused she is mentally, the more “in the mood” she’ll be for sex.
